Meet your Therapist
Hi, I am Theresa Washington MSAC, LCADC, C-DBT, I’m a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) dedicated to helping individuals address challenges related to substance use, co-occurring mental health concerns, and major life transitions. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, with a focus on promoting resilience and long-term recovery.
I earned my Master of Science in Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2017 and bring over eight years of experience in the co-occurring field. My professional background includes working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, where I have provided specialized care for substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, emotional regulation, and adjustment to life transitions.
My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing within a client-centered, strengths-based framework. I strive to create a supportive therapeutic environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their challenges, build coping skills, and achieve sustainable recovery and personal growth. Outside of the therapy room, I value spending time with my family and friends, staying active through exercise, and discovering new recipes to try.
No matter where you are in your journey, you do not have to take the next step alone. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and support.
